I'm working on the sequel to FLIGHTSUIT and FLIGHTPACK, which is also the prequel to LIFEFLASH and the sequel to THE LAZARUS SPEAR. I've developed a master timeline (in Excel) for all four books that tracks and sequences the events of all four, even though LIFEFLASH is set thirty years in the future. I loved the way that FLIGHTSUIT brought three different characters together from different points and used those perspectives to reach a finale. It's a complicated way to write a story, but I think it's the puzzling out of those threads that I most enjoy about writing.
This morning, I completed all the character and creature background and their arcs through the story. Along the way, I've stacked scenes into a timeline plan and now I'll begin organizing those scenes into a sequence that I will use to write the story. I should be writing the actual story by Monday.
