14 Months ago, I stopped writing

14 months ago I stopped writing. There's only so much of you to go around, no matter how many hours you put in and no matter how focused you are.

I stopped writing to focus on my MBA from Milligan College, which I've now completed. During those 14 months, I also studied for, and completed, four more professional certifications including the CISM, HCISPP, PSM and the PMI-ACP. I'm glad to have those tucked away and glad to get back to writing. I think the professional work pays for the life I'm enjoying very much while the writing is all about my hope for the future.

I heard something the other day that stuck with me. Everyone wants to be remembered. I feel the truth of that. It's why I get up at four every day and write and stick with the writing, getting a little better at it all the time, because some day I will be gone and what I've written will still be here, saying the things I want to say, loving the people that I want to know I love them.
