Progress Report, February 2019

I am making solid progress with the fifth book since completing my MBA in December. The current book is a sequel to FLIGHTSUIT, FLIGHTPACK and THE LAZARUS SPEAR and a prequel to LIFEFLASH. It is populated with characters from the other books, brought together by a catastrophe, in Erwin.

At the time of this post, I think this will be the first apocalyptic Erwin story. Who says there's nothing original under the sun?

The new book will be my longest. I always inspire myself with the work of the writers that I have loved reading. Flightsuit was my homage to Robert A. Heinlein's HAVE SPACESUIT WILL TRAVEL. I had Philip K. Dick's stories in mind for LIFEFLASH. My current book will be my best effort to emulate Stephen King's THE STAND with a lot of characters and simultaneous threads.

I hope to complete my current project by September and should have it ready for release this year. When I stopped writing to work on the MBA, I had 68,000 words in on the current project.

Thanks for reading!
