I researched screenplays and considered hiring someone to write one for FLIGHTSUIT. After reviewing the options and realizing that there's no guarantee I would even like the result if I hired someone to write one, I decided to study up on the process of screenwriting myself.
I've come to realize that I can do anything that I am willing to put the effort into. The CEH certification is probably the best example since that was probably the widest stretch for me among the certifications that I've acquired.
I redlined notes all over two books that I recommend.
SAVE THE CAT, by Blake Snyder
THE SCREENWRITER'S BIBLE, by David Trottier
I liked the process of writing a screenplay. It is more constricted than novel writing, and if you want the reader to know something, it has to be part of the action or dialog. You can't share people's thoughts the way you do in novels.
The next step in this process is to pitch the screenplay.
