The geode cave, page 18

Deep in the depths, the landscape is dull and uniform. There’s a giant rock that looks like all the other rocks on the outside. The inside is a sparkling purple geode large enough for the wise old squid’s cave of wonders. I wanted the geode cave to sparkle, especially under UV (black) light.

The scene also features detail that’s not evident in full size. The book Nardo is reading ties in to my other novels.
